- How do I get started? Just click on the Apply Now button and fill out the online application.
- What does the application process entail? The application process includes a virtual interview and admissions test.
- What information is needed for the admissions test? We test students in Reading Comprehension, Mathematics and Computer Literacy.
- Is there a certain level of Reading Comprehension and Math on the test? Yes, a student must have a minimum of an 8th grade level.
- What is the criteria for admission? Students must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma, certificate of completion, or GED.
- When can I start the program if accepted? We accept new students on the 1st of every other month when a new course begins.
- Is your program year round? Yes, our program is year round.
- Are there any days off? Yes, we take off the national holidays. There are a few more days during the month of December.
- What is your absence policy? Students cannot miss more than 3 days in a 30 day period.
- What is the cost for the certificate programs? If you are a regional center client, there is no fee to the student.
- Are you vendored with Department of Rehabilitation? We are a vendor of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Do you accept private pay? Yes, we accept Private Pay clients.
- Do you have a payment plan? We place a credit card on file and your card is automatically charged on the 1st of every month.
- Do you offer scholarships? No, unfortunately we do not offer scholarships.
- How long is each course? Each course is 2 months. The intensive specialization is one year.
- What happens during a second year? During the second year, the student specializes in a particular area. Goals are built into course projects to simulate a work environment.
- What happens if I don't pass one of the courses? Each student must pass each course in order to stay in the program.
- What happens if I take all courses in a specific learning path? A meeting with your advisor is recommended to establish goals after completing all courses in a specific learning path.
- Can I apply for FAFSA? We are not an accredited degree granting institution and therefore our tuition is not able to be paid by FAFSA.
- Who designed the certificate courses? All of our courses are designed specifically by experts in the fields.
- What does a typical week look like in the certificate programs? Students attend their class Monday-Friday from 10:00am - 3:00pm (PST) 12:00 - 5:00 (CST) 1:00-6:00 (EST). Students are responsible to login to their account each day. Students must participate in all assignments, course work, and online activities in order to continue to attend the course.
- Can I get college credit for courses? It is up to the individual college to determine if credits are accepted from other educational institutions.
- Do you issue a 1098-T? Since we are not an accredited institution we do not issue a 1098-T. We do not typically qualify as a tax deduction.
- Are you a degree granting institution? No, we are not a degree granting institution. We are an online educational platform.
- Do you guarantee employment? No, we do not guarantee employment.
- Do you offer employment assistance for graduates? There are options for students who are eligible which are able to obtain employment assistance.
